Successfully selling boats since 1995, ABNB's constant aim is to provide the standard of service of yesteryear which is so often missing in today's self-centered hectic lifestyle and our commitment to providing a friendly, professional service is second to none.
Our collective boating experience encompasses all aspects of the cut and it is difficult to envisage an area of the canal world in which we wouldn't be able to offer you constructive advice and support, be it realising your dream or hanging up your windlasses.
ABNB started life as the brainchild of Andy Burnett whilst he was the Technical Editor of Waterways World, the popular magazine still at the forefront today. In the early 90's brokers would only sell boats that were taken to their sales base but many vendors were reluctant to abandon their pride and joy, even though they were selling. ABNB pioneered and perfected selling boats from their home moorings which enabled the vendors to participate in the sales process, an opportunity welcomed by many. As the business grew, Crick Wharf became the home of ABNB, enabling boats to also be sold from Crick.
Each boat offered on brokerage includes:
* A very detailed and unrivalled 4-page colour brochure, with a scaled line drawing of the boat
* Dedicated page on our website, www.abnb.co.uk
* An individual detailed display in our Crick Wharf office
* Coverage in National publications
* Individual feature display at Crick & IWA Shows
Potential buyers can:
* View the sales brochure on-line or receive a copy in the post
* View boats at Crick Wharf seven days a week, 9.30 am to 5.30 pm
* View any outlying boat (by appointment only)
* Contact ABNB for impartial advice
* Secure a boat with a fully refundable deposit (up to the point of contract exchange)
* Be confident by using an ABYA Accredited Broker (see www.abya.co.uk)
* Be secure in the knowledge that ABNB operates a ring-fenced Client Account
Please visit our website www.abnb.co.uk for more information, including useful boating related topics such as the 57' myth, the Recreational Craft Directive and the Boat Safety Scheme.

|
Beta BV1903 diesel. Bow thruster. A distinctive build from two of the best known builders on the canal network. Instantly recognisable the Reeves trademark bow cuts beautifully through the water propelled by the trusty Beta diesel engine in its sound-proofed compartment. A bow thruster is of added benefit when locking or mooring in tricky locations. 4 berths: permanent double, Pullman dinette double; shower, Thetford cassette wc; solid fuel stove, compact diesel central heating; gas cooking, 12V... read more

60ft 0in Milburn Boats Ltd/G&J Reeves trad. GBP £59,500 |

Isuzu 38 diesel. Is this the right boat were our thoughts as we approached Shianba (we had come to see a boat built in 2002) and with her gleaming paintwork catching the sunlight she looked like a new boat. On entering the cabin the only way to describe her is immaculate and maintenance has obviously been carried out regardless of cost. Internally contrasting hardwoods with fine joinery detailing abound including rounded corners to many of her cabinets. 4 berths: permanent double, Pullman dinett... read more

66ft 3in Reading Marine Company/G&J Reeves semi-trad GBP £69,950 |
|
Bow thruster. Beta BV1903 diesel. One of the good things about narrowboats is that you can change just about anything, so when the current owners decided the front deck area needed to be bigger they extended it from 4ft to a little more than 8ft. At the same time the external floor area was lowered effectively making the saloon area almost 19ft long. There aren't many boats that can boast that! 6 berths: permanent double, L-shaped dinette double fore and aft; shower, separate pump-out wc; d... read more

Lister ST3 diesel. A leviathan is seen as a large creature from the deep, and whereas we trust this creation will never see 'the deep', it is certainly of large internal proportions. In building this for his own use, the builder ensured a light and airy interior from the wider than average windows in the saloon & galley, and tremendous storage without compromising the living space – probably the best we have seen to date. 4 berths: permanent double, double on sofa bed; ... read more

Vetus M4.15. It is not always necessary for a boat to be fitted with all the latest equipment to just enjoy all the pleasures which the inland waterways system have to offer, in fact it may be a bonus and Opal is just such a boat. So if you are looking for an uncomplicated boat on which to escape the trials and tribulations of modern life, you may have to look no further. At just over 45ft long and powered by a smooth running Vetus engine, Opal is capable of navigating the entire canal system. 4... read more

|
57ft 10in JD Boat Services/Canalcraft trad. Gardner 2LW diesel. After boating for a considerable time, the owners’ of High Kelling knew exactly what they wanted from a boat for comfortable long-term cruising. Privacy by portholes to the saloon & bedroom, but lots of light and ventilation to the galley & bathroom. A Gardner engine was essential, within its own engine room, along with a 230V generator for self-sufficiency plus powering the onboard washing machine. 2 berths: per... read more

Isuzu 35 diesel. Building boats in the Black Country since the late 1990's, Stuart Cole (Delph Narrowboats) has earned a reputation for well executed fit-outs. With Delph 55, a sailaway-plus narrowboat, all the hard work is done, leaving the galley, saloon and bedroom to complete in this reverse layout. The engine, plus the central heating, electrics and fresh water systems are all installed and working including hot water. 0 to 4 berths: shower, Thetford cassette wc; compact diesel central... read more

57ft 0in Orchard Marina & Boat Building Ltd/Collingwood Boatbuilders Ltd cruiser. GBP £61,500 |
|
Isuzu 35 diesel. A change in circumstances forces the very reluctant sale of this young boat, whose unmarked interior could be said to still be in show room condition. The steel shell was crafted by Collingwoods fabricators who have learnt their trade whilst in the employment of Liverpool Boat Co (perhaps the most prolific shell builder to date). Orchard Marine then went on to complete the internal fit-out using copious amounts of solid ash in her construction creating a light and airy ambience.... read more

Lister JP3 diesel. Choices are made by the first owners as to a boat's internal layout and the owner of Jacana chose comfortable daytime living. Hence, there's plenty of room in the saloon and galley, plus a sufficiently-sized shower room. Room was of course made for the JP3, which has been recently re-built, with the engine room decoration matching that of the Boatman's cabin. 4 berths: extending dinette double, double in Boatman's cabin; shower, pump-out wc; solid fuel stov... read more

60ft 4in Owner/Mel Davis trad. Beta BD3 Tug diesel. Mel Davis is an established builder, and is placed by those who know his work in the higher ranks of narrowboat shell fabricators. His styling is attractive and distinctive with Sarla being one of his craft. Sarla's conscientious owner had the forethought to have the hull grit blasted and coated with 2-pack epoxy resin below the topstrake for prolonged underwater protection before being launched. 4 berths: permanent double, double in Boatm... read more

LEASEHOLD MOORING: up to 60ft narrowbeam GBP £21,950 |
|
LEASEHOLD MOORING: up to 60ft residential narrowbeam mooring. We say leasehold moorings but because you cannot register a piece of water with the Land Registery, you actually lease a carpark space, in this case slot LH14, which has guaranteed Mooring Rights for one narrowbeam vessel up to 60 foot in length for the period of the Lease. The Lease can be modified, at a cost, to enjoy mooring rights for a bigger vessel if so desired. The lease period is leasehold until 2038 giving approx 26 years mo... read more

SKYY: 57ft 4in Stem-to-Stern/JD Narrowboats cruiser. Beta B38 diesel. Smart cruiser-stern narrowboat built to fit the canals' 'go-anywhere' length limit. Skyy combines practicality with clean-cut modern chic. Externally handsome 'cutlass' bow is balanced by an ergonomic aft cockpit (with hardwood taffrail seats). Beta B43 diesel. Wow! Isn't this cosy, was our first comment on entering Dragonfly's cabin. Fitted out in a mixture of painted finishes with high gloss hard and soft woods, (solid hard wood flooring even extends to the larger than normal cratch covered forward cockpit), enhanced by feature glazed, decorative leaded panels in the four opening skylights, some privacy and cupboard doors add a rustic character with a timeless feel. Nannidiesel 4-150HE. David Forth served an apprenticeship as a boat builder, and worked under his own name for two decades. His output rarely exceeded one boat a year, each of a discreet quality that promises to keep its condition for many years. Using quality materials (oak and red maranti) in a pleasing design, the interior has character without being fussy – typically Yorkshire, solid and dependable. 4 berths: permanent double, L-dinette double; shower, Thetford cassette wc; solid fuel ... read more

SAVING GRACE: 67ft 6in R Covington/RLL Boats trad. Beta B43 diesel. Unashamedly built and fitted out with residential or long time cruising in mind. The luxurious accommodation is ideal for a couple with two guests but could be easily extended further by the addition of a sofa bed. KARA SEA No.2: 61ft 11in Owner/Roger Farringdon trad. Lister HA3 diesel. Don't be fooled by the simplicity of the exterior: it may look plain but beneath the plain white finish lies something quite special. Designed by the current owner as a labour of love and engineered to the nth degree for him to liveaboard in comfort. 65ft 1in Kingsground Narrowboats/ G& J Reeves cruiser. Beta BV1903S diesel. Bow thruster. Two well respected names came together in the building of Sanctuary, with a shell by G& J Reeves (for many years a strong favourite of many professional boat builders and private owners alike) and Kingsground Narrowboats whose superb fit-outs have been admired for a considerable number of years. 50ft 2in x 10ft 0in Joe Summers /Liverpool GBP £69,500 |

Isuzu 55 diesel. Bow thruster. The term 'wide beam narrowboat' appears to be a contradiction, but is it a useful way of describing a craft that is built in a narrowboat style but wider than the usual nominal 6ft 10in. At 10ft beam, the extra width makes a major difference to comfortable living afloat, and Bellarita is a fine example. Set in the right location wide beam boats can cruise many miles of waterways. 4 berths: permanent double, L-shaped dinette double; shower, pump-out wc; so... read more

Beta B28 diesel. After considerable thought and planning Barrage's present owner commissioned her to be built and fitted her out to create what he considered to be the ideal craft on which to live and cruise the waterways single handed. He also had future use of the boat in mind, designing the layout in such a way that conversion to a four berth boat should prove an easy proposition. 2 berths: permanent double; shower, cassette wc; solid fuel stove; gas cooking, 12V fridge; 1.8kW modified s... read more

Narrowboats by Steve Hudson have always had a strong following by canal boat enthusiasts and are keenly sought after when they become available on the second hand market. Kara Sea is a fine example of one of their early craft.
