The boat has been measured and has a CIM rating certificate enabling it to sail in all the Classic Regattas in the Mediterranean circuit ( not as Spirit of Tradition but with the Vintage Class of Yachts). Puffin Bach is a fine example of a Tamarisk 24 class topsail gaff cutter. Not as numerous nor therefore as well known (nor expensive) as the comparable Cornish Crabber or Norfolk Smuggler/Gypsy classes, the Tamarisk is a sturdy boat with very sweet lines capable of serious cruising. Designed by David Cannell, this example was completed by North Cornwall Marine in 1987. She combines the practicality of a GRP hull with the charm of wood above the gunwale and is a real delight both to see and to sail. We have sailed Puffin Bach along the entire Welsh Coastline, the Bristol Channel, Southern... read more

Blackwater Sloop 2 ½ tonner, 1936. Designed and built in pine on oak, by Dan Webb, and claimed to be originally owned by Mantovani. 'Fandango' is 18'6” lod. 6' beam, 2'9” draught. The bowsprit which I added makes her 5' longer overall, and the extra sail gives her a lot more power and a better balance. There are two berths, a 'bucket & chuck-it' toilet and a two ring gas cooker. Also a CQR anchor and chain, navigation lights, fenders and some warps.
