Puffin Bach is a fine example of a Tamarisk 24 class topsail gaff cutter. Not as numerous nor therefore as well known (nor expensive) as the comparable Cornish Crabber or Norfolk Smuggler/Gypsy classes, the Tamarisk is a sturdy boat with very sweet lines capable of serious cruising. Designed by David Cannell, this example was completed by North Cornwall Marine in 1987. She combines the practicality of a GRP hull with the charm of wood above the gunwale and is a real delight both to see and to sail.
We have sailed Puffin Bach along the entire Welsh Coastline, the Bristol Channel, Southern... read more
