Western Cloud. Built in 1976 by Hancock and Lane. 3 cylinder, air-cooled, Lister diesel, recently serviced. Last August it had a full ultra-sonic hull check. All the steel was found to be solid with good thickness. It was also re-blacked and new annodes.
On very quiet river mooring (mains power, water tap nearby etc), over a mile from nearest road. Mooring can be taken over with purchase of boat (on agreement with Marina owners).

Narrowboat 'Faraway'. A 68 ft Cruiser stern Narrowboat. Built in 1987 by Mike Heywood to 10/6/4/3 specifications, she is in very good condition due to regular surveys and maintenance.
An ideal boat for a couple or family new to the liveaboard lifestyle, Faraway has gas central heating including hot water, and a 7 day timer fitted. A multi-fuel stove in the forward saloon makes up for any extra heating required.
There are 3 x 80 Watt Solar Panels and a quick-release tilting bracket for a Rutland or Air-x wind generator available for an extra thousand pounds if required.
There is a possibility of a local mooring available in Cosgrove, just outside Milton Keynes. The boat is on a local waiting list and the same site makes winter moorings available on the towpath side each winter, so even if a vacancy doesn't come up this summer you should be able to get a winter mooring to give yourself some breathing space.
One fixed double and one convertable dinette. Thetford Cassette toilet. LED lighting to some fittings.

For sale one pair of Masson Marine specification Gearboxes. These have become surplus to requirement as we have upgraded to Twin Disc boxes. There are no oil coolers with these. These are now very difficult to obtain and would be cost effective to buy as spares alone, as they run into thousands of pounds each when new. Fully serviced throughout life to manufacturers specification with no expense spared.
