Vaya Con Dios
40x9ft Dutch barge
7ft airdraft
2ft draft
6ft1 headroom in height . Vaya Con Dios has all the charm, comfort and elegance you could ask for.
With a nice, low airdraft, you’ll have no trouble navigating waterways which accommodate widebeams and at 40ft, she’s easy to maneuver and moor. If your plan is to continuous cruise, the solid Ford inboard diesel engine will get you around no problem, with enough power to navigate fast rivers, as well as pootle along slowly on the canal. She’s a Kaagenaar, these are famously shallow drafted, flat-bottomed barges from the Kaag lakes in the Netherlands (Kagerplassen).
Vaya Con Dios has been very well loved and would make a comfortable home . I have upgraded her with lots of love :-new bathroom with space saving sliding door build , disel heather for off grid comfort, electric sockets through out the whole boat both 12v and 240v , Swan 12v fridge , a lot of storage room , log burner , insulation done from scratch , with bamboo cladding all around that is not only beautiful but acts like extra insulation. Sky light vent Ith 12 v light fitted . Must be seen to be appreciated.
