Remarks
Shazzala is a well-presented Beneteau Antares 710 that benefits from having had just two owners from new. Boats that have remained with long-term owners often retain a more original feel, and Shazzala appears to have avoided the numerous modifications that can accumulate over the years with higher owner boats. Instead, she presents as a tidy and honest example of this ever-popular compact cruiser.
Powered by a Nanni 4.380TDI diesel engine on shaft drive, she offers economical cruising with a comfortable cruising speed of around 13 knots and a top speed of approximately 19 knots. The engine was serviced in Summer 2025, while the hull was antifouled and fitted with new anodes in Summer 2026. The engine hour gauge is currently not operating, so engine hours are unknown.
The practical layout that made the Antares 710 so popular remains just as appealing today. The wheelhouse provides excellent visibility from the starboard helm, while the saloon seating converts into an additional double berth. Forward is a comfortable cabin together with a separate heads compartment fitted with a Jabsco marine toilet, making weekends away both comfortable and practical.
On deck, Shazzala is equipped with an electric windlass, beaching legs, bathing platform, removable transom access, cockpit and bow cushions, and stainless steel grab rails throughout. Navigation equipment includes a Raymarine chartplotter with South West charts, Raymarine fishfinder, Simrad DSC VHF and steering compass, providing a useful level of equipment for coastal cruising.
Overall, Shazzala is a genuine and well-presented Antares 710. Her low ownership history, practical specification and tidy appearance make her an appealing option for anyone looking for an easy-to-handle diesel cruiser for family day trips, fishing or weekends exploring the coast.
Broker's Remarks
Shazzala is exactly the sort of boat I enjoy coming across. Having had only two owners from new, she has a refreshing originality about her that is becoming increasingly difficult to find. Rather than seeing years of alterations and additions, she feels like a boat that has simply been enjoyed and sympathetically owned.
She presents nicely, with the cockpit and bow cushions adding to her overall appeal, and she offers a practical specification that should suit a wide range of boating. The Antares 710 has long been a popular model thanks to its sensible layout, economical diesel performance and straightforward handling. If you're looking for a compact cruiser for coastal trips, fishing or weekends away, Shazzala is certainly one I'd recommend taking the time to view.
