Windermere Cumbria UK
Built in1982 by Beneteau this 5.5m day sailer is moored on Lake Windermere. With a slab reefed main and a roller genoa she is easy to sail but being a micro class boat is very responsive even in light airs. Having a swing keel she is regarded as a coastal monohull sailboat. First 18s were designed by Jean Marie Finot and Pascal Conq. She was built by Bénéteau (France) and made of monolithic fiberglass / polyester.
With snug two births plus a childs birth forward she is a no frills boat. Having been on either Ullswater or Windermere all her life she has non of the seafairing extras, no electrics, not even a loo.
Despite her age she is a sound boat as can only be expected from such a renound manufacturer.
The boat comes with a 4HP Yamaha 4 stroke engine with integral tank.
