So here’s the nuts & bolts details…I got the boat July 2023 with the aim of live-aboard but sometimes best laid plans change and so sadly I have to sell the boat. I spent ages looking for the right boat and viewed loads and my goodness there’s some utter dogs out there and some sellers are unscrupulous fibbers but honestly this is a gem and the previous owner was a master craftsman and clearly spent many hours and a lot of careful thought went into the internal design of this boat. Everything is done and ready to go for a live-aboard boat, in fact the only thing I had to do was change the wood burner and install a new 4.4kw multi fuel stove.
I had a survey done and even paid to have it grit blasted back to bare metal to make sure the blacking wasn’t hiding any nasties…it’s built like a battleship and there’s no over plating anywhere at all on the boat which is excellent and it came back with ultra sound readings of 10mm hull and 6mm below waterline and 4mm above. After the grit blasting I had it 2 Pack Epoxied and added 4 new anodes. The BMC engine had a full service including new glow plugs fitted.
Here’s the details of what’s inside:
There’s a solid oak flooring. The hull, walls and roof are fully insulated. There’s a stylish gas oven and hob. LED lights throughout. The toilet/bathroom is a fibre glassed wet room with shower with gulp pump. The toilet is a cartridge type not a pump out type. There’s a LPG combi boiler for hot water and a water pump fitted too. The new multi fuel burner is great and keeps cabin lovely and warm although the back bedroom is chilly so I fitted a diesel warm air blower in the engine bay that feeds the back bedroom.
At the front end there’s a lounge, leading to kitchen, this leads to dinning room area, leading to bathroom, leading to back bedroom. We had a fitted double bed in this bedroom and whilst tight for space it still allowed 2ft walkway past the bed.
There’s a rear crouch canopy, which is in good condition.
In the engine bays there’s 2 brand new batteries and a battery retainer. There’s an inbuilt shoreline power socket to run 240v appliances. There’s a 4 panel roof solar panel and a brand new Growatt 5kW Off-Grid SPF5000-ES 48V Inverter / Charger 230vac.
It’s a great boat and I’ve tried to be open & honest about its condition. So if you’re interested maybe come and have a look – it’s on my mooring near Bedford on the Great River Ouse and if after viewing you’re keen then I would suggest an out of water survey but this can be expensive at £500 for a survey and £500 crane lift and when looking to buy this boat I viewed loads that looked great in the photo’s but the survey revealed they were total scabby dogs and rotten and at almost £1000 a go it was money down the drain…so what I will do as part of any purchase is if you buy the boat then I will refund the money you spend on a survey & crane lift….there’s a commercial boat yard with crane lift for out of water survey plus loading to road haulage if required – it’s 8 miles by road & 5 hours by river from me but I’m happy to sail it there and you can instruct a surveyor of your choice… I think this is a fair way to do a boat sale.
