The SLEEPING BEAR is a 60ft x 12ft luxurious one bedroom floating apartment, very spacious and beautifully fitted out. Hull built by the Crick 2018 ‘Favourite Boat of the Show’ winners, Burscough Boats, she has all you need for the liveaboard continuous cruiser life.
Beautifully fitted Wickes kitchen cabinets and Apollo Slab Tech countertop. She has loads of storage and all the mod cons i.e. undercounted Shoreline 12V fridge, Belling 5 ring hob, Belling built in oven and grill, and Beko under counter washing machine. 2x 13kg gas bottles in stern lockers.
The Bear has 2 high efficiency, waterproof 250W polycrystalline solar panels and a 60A charge controller from Photonic Universe which has the capacity for another 250W panel to be added. The Sterling ProCombi S inverter supplies 240V throughout the boat. 3x leisure batteries, 1x engine starter battery plus land line 240v hookup. LED ceiling spot lights thought out the boat. There are also digital fuel and water gauges to ensure you're topped up.
Great outdoor space for drinks or dining with friends and family, with additional storage under the stern seating area.
The kitchen and living room is open plan but is warm an inviting with the help of a designer 10KW multifuel Hornet Stove by Owen Thomson Designs. This is made from furnace grade stainless steel and has a 10mm thick hotplate which extends over the stove body, plenty of space for a kettle and cooking pan. There is a removable recessed hob so it is possible to cook over the direct flames providing you have a pan to fit. This stove is guaranteed to keep you toasty and warm during the cold winters. There are also 3 radiators and a towel rack for additional heat which are heated from the Webasto Thermo Top C system. There is Polyflor Camaro Loc Flooring throughout.
The Sleeping Bear has a large bathroom with a combo bath/shower with Whale Gulper pump for draining, contemporary washbasin & SaniMarin SN35ST pump out toilet (75 Gallon capacity). There is a 100L calorifier heated from the engine or Webasto system and 850L water tank to service all of your water needs.
All the furniture and cabinets have been designed and built to make it possible to access the electric, gas and plumbing components should anything need maintenance.
The bedroom is spacious with two large custom made wardrobes. There is storage space under both the bow and stern steps.
Her Barrus Shire 14-70, 70HP engine was serviced by Keith Duffy and her boat safety was done by Ron Gooding, next due in August 2021. Recent engine service, January 2019.
