For sale is our beloved 40ft Motor Launch 'Betsie Jane', built for Lord Ebbisham by Saunders-Roe of Cowes in 1938.
She has a really interesting history as Betsie Jane was used in WW2 as Extended Defences Officer (XDO) Naval Auxiliary Boat attached to Culver Fort and Portsmouth Harbour and was involved with Dunkirk and Operation Pluto. We have a full history file with photos we can send on request.
We have owned her since 2016 and used her on the River Hamble as a commercial passenger vessel for afternoon teas, hence kept up to commercial coded standards and licencing. We are no longer running these trips so we are looking for the next custodian to take her on.
Fully restored in 2012, she currently has twin Ford FSD diesel engines which are in good working order, although as synonymous with the model a little smokey on start-up!
Currently afloat on the River Hamble. If you are interested, get in touch about viewing her to find out more.
Has previously been transported by lorry, so well within road transport size for easy relocation.
We feel she is priced to sell, but sensible offers considered if she goes to the right home.
