1902 Summers and Payne gaff sloop. A very special yacht that was given to the Sycamore family by King George V (‘Syccy’ -Capt Edward Sycamore was skipper of Britannia and also Shamrock - Sir Thomas Lipton’s J Class Yacht) In Sycamore ownership until 2000 when I acquired her. She looks much larger than her 16 feet. A true classic yacht in miniature. Beautifully built and maintained. After much research small bilge keels were fitted (with suitable internal strengthening) by Tim Gilmore to allow her to dry out and sit upright. These can be easily removed with no trace. They have not affected sailing performance at all. Brand new Gowen cream (unused) suit of sails and bunks included. Gowen were the original sailmakers. Teal is listed in Lloyds register of yachts. She has been carefully preserved out of the water. Very reluctant sale
This boat is a real piece of history, I am sad to sell but I must. offers considered. Larry Rumbol

2 berths and a f'ocsle plus lockers.
Pitch Pine on oak frames. Teal has been out of the water for a few years but fully wrapped and carefully preserved. She has dried out a little but not in a detrimental way. Where she is located is a secure wet berth where she can 'take up' again under supervision. I was a boat builder and classic boat advice on keeping Teal preserved has been taken very seriously as she is a piece of sailing history. The design is similar to the Itchen Ferry (where Summers and Payne were located ) and were known as fast weatherly boats, often used as tenders to large racing yachts which would explain how Teal came to be a gift to Royal Skipper Edward (Syccy) Sycamore from the royal family.
New professionally made bunk cushions.
Brand new sails by Gowen who were the original sail maker and actually had Teal on file. Sails still in new bags. All rigging new and unused.
