Description

This 2D/ 3D seismic survey/ research vessel was built in 2005 and is classed with ABS under the notation A1(E), AMS. With a length overall of 67.80 m, a breadth moulded of 63.60 m, and a moulded depth of 16.00 m, she offers robust dimensions suitable for offshore seismic operations. The vessel has a maximum draft of 5.50 m and a deadweight of 1 260 T, with gross and net tonnages of 2 995 T and 889 T respectively.

Powered by 2 x Caterpillar 3516B main engines developing a total of 4 400 BHP (3 132 kW), she achieves a maximum speed of 12.5 knots at 12 T/day and an economic cruising speed of 10 knots at 9.5 T/day. Propulsion is delivered via 2 x 4-bladed CPPs housed in fixed nozzles, supported by a Kawasaki KT-72B3 CPP bow thruster driven by a Caterpillar C18 engine rated at 662 BHP @ 1 800 RPM. Steering is managed by a twin Rolls-Royce SR622-200 electro-hydraulic system with 2 x 7 T rudders.
The vessel is equipped with advanced seismic support infrastructure including 4 x 3 T streamer winches capable of handling 51 mm x 8 km cables, 3 x double-drum gun winches with 76.2 mm x 400 m capacity, and 4 tow points. She also carries two 7 T deck cranes with outreach from 2 to 9 m, enhancing operational flexibility during deployment and retrieval.

Tank capacities include 936.87 m³ of fuel oil, 167.00 m³ of fresh water, 127.87 m³ of drill water, and 528.36 m³ of ballast water. Waste management systems include 11.31 m³ of bilge and dirty oil each, and 5.62 m³ of sewage holding. She is not equipped for dry bulk or brine cargo.

Cargo discharge systems feature Garbarino pumps throughout, including a 100 m³/h cargo oil pump at 60 m head, twin 9 m³/h fuel oil transfer pumps, and fresh/drill water pumps rated at 100 m³/h. Bilge and ballast operations are handled by a 65 m³/h pump, while LO transfer is supported by a 24 m³/h unit.
Her accommodation is configured for 48 persons, comprising 8 single cabins, 16 double cabins, and 2 four-berth cabins. She features a CAP 437/ ICAO-compliant helideck with a “D” value of 20.0 m and a maximum take-off weight of 9.3 T, supporting offshore crew transfer operations.

The onboard power plant includes 2 x Caterpillar C18 generators rated at 383 kW, a Caterpillar 3412 generator at 430 kW, a Caterpillar 3056T emergency generator (92.5 kW), and a 450 kW shaft generator. Additional support machinery includes 2 x Caterpillar 3512 engines for LMF compressors and 2 x Sperre HL2/77 air compressors.
Fire-fighting and anti-pollution systems are comprehensive, featuring a Garbarino 35 m³/h emergency fire pump, CO? flooding systems for engine room and technical spaces, a Flexi Fog fixed system by Heien Larsen, fixed foam systems for streamer reels and storage, and dual foam monitors for helideck fire protection. A Minerva Marine T1016 fire detection and alarm system ensures ongoing safety monitoring throughout the vessel.

Lifesaving equipment includes 7 inflatable life rafts (4 x 25 men, 2 x 25 men, and 1 x 6 men) and a 15-man rescue boat with davit. Anchor handling is provided by 2 x HY-14 2 000 kg anchors with 38 mm grade 3 steel stud link chains (330 m port / 357.5 m starboard), managed by a windlass with 38 T brake holding capacity and twin 5 T bow capstans.

This vessel is fully equipped for offshore geophysical survey operations and remains a capable unit in the global seismic support fleet.
