1973 Contessa 26 “Maramour” – Classic Pocket Cruiser with Offshore Pedigree
Maramour is a 1973 Contessa 26, hull #291, built by Jeremy Rogers and cherished for her timeless design and capable offshore performance. This compact cruiser is easy to handle, making her ideal for single-handed sailing, coastal passages, or first-time boat ownership.
Currently based at Wicor Marine, Portsmouth Harbour, she’s in good sailing condition, with her mooring potentially transferable (subject to fees). Powered by a Yanmar 1GM10 diesel engine (recently serviced) and equipped with a long encapsulated keel, robust GRP hull, and re-anodised mast and boom, she offers dependable, traditional sailing charm.
The Hyde and Saunders sails are in excellent shape, supported by recent halyards and sheets, Lewmar winches, spinnaker poles, and a solid suite of navigation gear including Garmin plotter, Autohelm 1000, and fixed VHF.
Accommodation includes four berths, a refurbished interior, gas cooker, chart table, and marine toilet. She also features a green sprayhood, cockpit covers, and a solid safety inventory.
