A handsome and carefully maintained Cornish Shrimper 19, sail number 641, built in 2003 and afloat on her mooring in Chichester Harbour. Designed by the respected Roger Dongray and built by Cornish Crabbers of Rock, Cornwall, the Shrimper 19 is widely admired for her classic lines, forgiving handling, and seaworthiness beyond her size.
With a distinctive black hull, new mast (2016), up-to-date navigation electronics, and both tan and white sail wardrobes, this particular Shrimper is fully equipped for immediate sailing. She has benefitted from continuous care and sympathetic upgrades while retaining the traditional charm that defines the class. Just a coat of antifoul required.
The trailer can be acquired seperately and is not included in the price.

Berths: Two full-length single berths with fitted cushions, suitable for adult use
Storage: Stowage beneath both berths for personal gear, with additional space forward for anchor chain, fenders and sails
Interior Finish: Timber trim with oiled wood surfaces and white GRP moulded linings for a traditional yet low-maintenance finish
Lighting: Simple cabin lighting for use at anchor or alongside
Ventilation: Forward hatch and washboard opening provide natural airflow
Additional Features: The boom tent extends the usable space, offering protected cockpit sleeping or lounging in fair weather
While compact, the interior is dry, usable and provides welcome shelter — particularly when paired with the cockpit boom tent. It makes the Shrimper highly capable for overnight cruising, especially in sheltered waters or coastal harbours.
The Cornish Shrimper 19 is built to a high standard by Cornish Crabbers Ltd in Rock, Cornwall. Hull number 641 features the classic GRP (glass-reinforced plastic) hull and deck with traditional styling, finished in a black gelcoat above the waterline and contrasting off-white non-slip deck mouldings.
