A development of the Contessa 38, designed by David Alan-Williams and built by Dawn Yachts in 1986. This is a powerful offshore yacht with timeless, elegant lines and excellent performance.

Steering System Overhaul 2023-24:

• Old rudder removed, stock inspected for welds, corrosion, etc.
• Extra tang added, new rudder constructed with compartmentalised foam-filled pockets & sealed top & bottom
• Rudder encapsulated in 4 layers of epoxy resin
• Whitlock Cobra Binnacle stripped, upper bearings, shims, seals, and brake assembly replaced
• Reassembled with new compass wire
• Lower binnacle bracket lubed
• Lower rose joints removed, inspected, replaced & adjusted
• New steering stop assembly fabricated & fitted
• Upper & lower stop bearings replaced
• Stuffing box cleaned out, repacked, and greased
