Introducing Kahawai, a remarkable 41ft 4’ by 13ft Motor Cruiser crafted by Fairline in 1980.
Fairline Boats commenced operations along the River Nene near Oundle in 1963, pioneering GRP construction techniques. They specialized in hand-building quality motor cruisers, launching their flagship, the Fairline 40 Flybridge, in 1977. This enduring design remained in production for 11 years, offering a spacious and seaworthy layout that remains timeless.
Kahawai is powered by twin Volvo engines (with cruising speeds of 15 knots and max speed of 25 knots), each delivering 235hp, complemented by a bow thruster for enhanced maneuverability. The calorifier/immersion/Eberspacher system supplies hot water and central heating, ensuring comfort. It features both 12v and 240v systems supported by seven batteries (1 x 100AH & 6 x 120AH) and a Newmar 40a battery management system. Navigation equipment includes a Raymarine Pathfinder Plus RL80C with radar, Garmin Fishfinder, Raymarine Autopilot, Cobra DSC VHF radio, and on the Flybridge helm, a Simrad color chart plotter and Raymarine VHF radio.
The galley is well-equipped with a cooker, four-burner gas hob, twin stainless steel sinks, and two fridges (one gas, one electric). Accommodation is abundant, offering 8 berths across separate cabins: a forward cabin with a double bed, a pull-out double in the guest cabin, saloon seating that converts into a double bed, and a crew cabin with twin berths. Two onboard bathrooms include sea-draining toilets, showers, and vanity basins.
The current owners have meticulously maintained Kahawai, with antifouling and new anodes added in 2023, and engine servicing completed in February 2023.
After spending 11 years ashore, Kahawai was surveyed and refitted according to the surveyor's recommendations. The vessel presents as a spacious, well-cared-for home on water with a solid maintenance schedule and regular upgrades.

A boat is not valued on its age. The age of a boat is irrelevant. A boat is valued based on who built the hull? Who fitted the boat out and what type of materials were used (Hard wood or MDF etc) What equipment does the boat have (Bow thruster, generator, inverters etc) These are just a few of the many factors that equate to the correct value of a boat.

BUYERS & SELLERS
When you buy a boat from us you pay all monies in to our company clients trust account which means that the buyers and sellers money is protected. This is the same account that solicitors set up for house sales .This money does not belong to the company it belongs to the buyer until the sale is complete and then we pay the seller from the company clients trust account. We cannot release the money from the Clients Trust Account to the seller until the vessel has been accepted and handed over to the buyer because if there was a fault with the vessel and the buyer refused to accept it and wanted their money back we could not do this because the seller would of already had the money. This could become a very costly and messy problem for all parties.
This money never enters our company current account. This also means that we cannot use customers money for other purchases/reasons. If at any point the company went bust then the buyers/sellers money is safe and it would go back to the rightful owner of the money.
We have had this company clients trust account set up from day one to protect our customers money. This account is a secure holding account. We pay the seller monies due from this account when the buyer has signed to accept the vessel. Payment is made from this account to the seller by cheque from the clients Trust Account which is protected guaranteed funds.
