Description

This Norwegian designed Fjord Gemini 28CS yacht has an unusual configuration with the mast in the centre cockpit. This means the mainsail can be raised from there from a small boom. The foresail is positively huge.

There is a spacious aft cabin with the signature rounded stern, and the usual caravan dinette arrangement in the saloon opposite the galley. The fore cabin is large and there is the usual sea toilet.

The engine runs but requires some attention, possibly not serious. It seems to have been relatively little used. The engine compartment is huge with excellent access and both batteries are new.

The Fjord 28CS has a reputation for safe and stable coastal cruising, not sparkling performance.

This boat could make a practical living accommodation for one or two people and with six berths accommodate a large family for a weekend trip.

The current owner has fitted Class B AIS and navigates using Navionics on an iPad, included in the sale. There is a solar panel.

Overall it is an interesting and economical package and certainly turns heads compared with other small sloops.
