Description

The Hallberg-Rassy 38 is widely regarded as a high-quality, capable offshore cruising yacht. Designed by Olle Enderlein and introduced in 1977, it helped establish the brand’s reputation for robust bluewater boats with excellent craftsmanship and comfortable interiors. These yachts feature solid GRP construction, skeg-hung rudders, and relatively heavy displacement, giving them a reputation for safety, stability, and reassuring handling in challenging conditions. The centre-cockpit layout and the innovative walk-through to the aft cabin was advanced for its time. Performance is moderate rather than fast, particularly in light winds, but they are built for comfort and reliability over long distances rather than racing. Overall, they are considered very good boats, especially for serious cruising, and many remain highly sought-after decades later due to their durability and build quality.

This is hull number 009, and is now being sold through probate, she is in need of some cosmetic and electrical restoration as shown in the details and photos
