Kenelm is a 1937 Large Woolwich riveted motor boat that was built by Shipbuilders Harland and Wolff for the Grand Union Canal Carrying Company in London alongside the Thames at their Woolwich docks . She has been converted for continuous cruising and live aboard use to a high standard throughout retaining the character and soul of these historic vessels , boatman’s cabin with Epping solid fuel range and drop down bed,cupboards etc . Engine room with a HA 2 lister and blackstone gearbox for propulsion . In the engine room you have a large bank of deep cycle batteries all in good condition teamed up with twin solar roof panels feeding into a modern Victron charger,inverter set up. The main bed is a double that also pulls out to create 2 singles with massive storage underneath . Overhead lockers and a wardrobe are also within the room . Bathroom has a bath with a showerhead attachment fed from a gas fired boiler , washing machine has been fitted within the bathroom . Galley area is open plan with the galley towards the fore end opening out onto a large undercover deck area . The workmanship and design layout of Kenelm was carried out by David Parrot and other professionals who from experience know what is needed and not needed to create an excellent working / liveabord/ cruising boat .
