Classic Yacht Brokerage comments on this Van de Stadt Harmony 31
Van de Stadt Harmony 31 designed by the famous dutch design office. Hull built in 1967 by Tyler Boat Co. Ltd who were known as the leading manufacturers of GRP boats in the early years the material being used. Survey in 2022 available.
The design of the Harmony 31 was very much inspired by traditional yacht design and despite being built in GRP she had all the attributes of the wooden yachts we had come to know. She has a long keel displacement hull with relatively short overhangs. The encapsulated lead ballast keel of 2000kg gives a very healthy ballast ratio nearly 42% which helps give the design its reputation as an excellent and very capable sea boat.
This yacht has been well maintained in previous ownerships, the hull was epoxied in 2015 along with a new engine in the same year. She has an attractive inventory list with modern navigation instruments, new rigging and sails and a smart interior.
This boat represents exceptional value for money as a very capable cruising boat, really well equipped and ready to go with her new owners. Whether you want to potter around the local coast or sail off over the horizon, this yacht is more than capable and ready to go. Only for sale due to sudden and unexpected health issue in the family.
