Eliza Rose is a lovely 57’ reverse layout semi-cruiser stern narrowboat with an enclosed bow, built in 2017 by JD Narrowboats, and fitted out by Living The Dream. She has been well maintained, benefiting from a hull survey in May 2025 followed by blacking and 4 new anodes, and the external paintwork remains in good condition.
She is fitted out in a mix of painted ply and painted T& G, with oak trim, and oak flooring throughout (except for carpet in the bedroom).
The cruiser stern deck features lockers either side, and a good condition pram cover to protect from the elements. The Beta 38 engine is housed below, serviced in June 2025 (with new engine mounts too).
Steps lead down into the 9’7” galley, with granite worktops, a Thetford 3 burner hob, Belling oven & grill, Belfast sink, 12v Shoreline fridge, 12v Shoreline freezer, and a total of 11 cupboards!
Next is the dinette, which comfortable seats 4, with storage under the bench seats. This converts to a spare double when needed. Glazed doors either side bring in additional light and fresh air.
The 10’11” saloon follows, with an L-shaped sofa bed (storage under) which converts to a second spare double. There is also a Morso Squirrel solid fuel stove, 240v TV, and a storage cabinet with 2 smaller cupboards.
Following, the 6’2” bathroom features a large quadrant corner shower, with glass sliding doors, a Compoost composting toilet, and glass wash basin over a cupboard.
The bedroom is at the front of the boat, making good use of the enclosed bow, for a fixed 6’9” x 5’9” large double berth. This has lots of storage space under. There are also two full height wardrobes and a chest of drawers for storage, with a Candy washing machine housed in the starboard side wardrobe. Glazed doors on the bow bring in extra light and fresh air too.
She is centrally heated by an Eberspacher diesel fired system connected to 3 radiators and a towel rail. Hot water is via the Eberspacher, engine or immersion.
12v power is via a 400ah Lithium and 110ah lead acid hybrid domestic system, topped up by 1050w of solar with a Victron MPPT solar charge controller. 240v power is via the Sterling 3.5kw inverter/charger or landline (with a galvanic isolator).
Lighting on board is LED throughout.
She comes with all the necessary navigational equipment to just turn the key and go!
