Description

"Lizina" is a pretty twin keeled Leisure 23 SL built in 1983. She has been sailed and carefully maintained by her present owner for nineteen years. She had a new suit of sails in 2016 and had a new Beta 14 engine fitted in 2018.
She sails very well and her shallow draft makes her an ideal small, 5 berth, sailing cruiser. "Lizina" was in full commission on the Medway last season and has now been hauled out and is awaiting pre-season checks for 2026.
Owner's illness forces a very reluctant sale.

Accommodation

Cleverly designed accommodation with 5 berths in 2 cabins. A combination of GRP mouldings and wooden fittings provide and impressive amount of storage. Forepeak has two V-berths, Jabsco sea-toilet with wash basin over. Hanging cupboard to portside. Main cabin has galley area to port and a dinette to starboard which converts to a cosy double bunk. Gimbled twin burner gamping-gaz hob. Full sized quarter berth. Diesel hot-air heater fitted.

Construction

Twin keel GRP construction by Leisure Marine of Essex. Deep well protected cockpit. Stainless steel pulpit at bow, stainless steel push-pit and boarding ladder at stern.

Equipment

Standard Horizon Explorer VHF radio. Barometer, Clipper depth gauge Two removeable solar panels. Two 12 volt batteries with a rotary battery control switch. Manual and electric bilge pumps. chart plotter and tiller pilot (kept at home for safety). Ample fenders and warps. Bruce main anchor on 25m 8mm chain. Danforth kedge anchor on short chain with warp.

Beta Marine Beta 14 heat exchanger cooled bob tail engine, delivered ex-factory 15 Feb 2018. Complete with 120 S adapter kit, engine control panel with tacho, 12 volt electric start, 40 amp alternator and sump drain pump. Single lever "morse" control lever. Volvo 120 Sail drive.

Sails & Spars

Aluminium spars and stainless steel standing rigging in good condition. New suit of sails: battened main and furling genoa, supplied by Quay Sails of Poole in 2016 complete with sail cover and whisker pole. Running rigging maintained in good order by replacement as needed in rotation. Enkse 10 sheet winches and halyard winch. All control lines lead back to cockpit.

Safety Equipment

Three fire extinguishers, carbon monoxide alarm. Horse-shoe life buoy for push-pit.
