Constructed with a steel hull and steel superstructure.
The builder of this hull was Liverpool Boats and the craft has been fitted by Triton Boat Builders.
The hull is of welded mild steel construction and based on conventional narrowboat lines with a flat bottom base plate.
The hull is largely constructed by butt welding the side plating to the base, with fillet welding to the vertical plates approx. 15mm-20mm inside the base plates sacrificial leading edge.
Above waterline the plates are double folded at the continuous rubbing strake and gunwale to form a narrow deck.
The hull sides are strengthened by one full-length 50mm wide ‘D’ section steel rubbing strake at lower gunwale level along the fold, measuring circa 11.8mm thickness, in addition a strake at each waterline wrapping around the full waterline area.
The rubbing strakes were fully welded along each edge. 2.6 The bow is a conventional design complete with hollow stem and
remains in good condition with no collision damage.
The stern is the more popular semi-circular type over counter with inward formed swim.
A quick release style weed hatch is set into a hatch welded into the counter plate.
The skin cooling tank for the engine is welded to the portside swim plating.
The Manufacturer’s nominal (+/-) steel plating nominal specification is assessed as: 10.0mm Base plate / 6.0mm Uxters / 6.0mm Hull sides
