Description

5000 of these popular trailer sailers were built. This one has been trailed to Windermere and sailed as far as Skye and Holland in the 20 years the current owner has enjoyed the yacht.
There is spacious open plan accommodation and built-in solid foam buoyancy. 500kg of water ballast, a swing keel and kick-up rudder results in this make being trailerable and versatile. There is, however, no trailer with the yacht.

The accommodation offers up to 5 berths in the open plan cabin. Double V berth forward. Dinette to port. Galley consisting of a twin burner meths stove with chopping board cover, moulded sink with hand pumped freshwater supply. Separate heads compartment aft to starboard with a chemical toilet and hand-pumped freshwater supply. Large double berth under cockpit.

Construction

MacGregor 26S built by MacGregor Yachts of the U.S.A in 1992 to their own design with built in solid foam floatation system. White GRP hull and superstructure. White GRP decks with moulded-in non-slip surfaces. Water ballast system with swing keel for ease of launching and trailing. Self draining cockpit. Rubber rubbing strakes. Boarding ladder.
