Description

Malibu is a Marcon TOMAHAWK 25 built in 1979 with twin keels, offering good performance combined with up to 5 berths in a well built and seaworthy package. Malibu is in excellent condition throughout having been in the same family for the last 22 years. She is fully setup for single-handed sailing and has had many upgrades including a Beta Marine 13.5hp engine with less than 500 hours.

Accommodation: Refurbished interior including hull insulation, new sapele roof paneling with LED lighting. Full length pilot berth with single (converts to double) berth in main cabin; twin V-berths in separate forecabin. Heads to starboard with Jabsco sea toilet and replaced/serviced valves. Full length galley to port with Plastimo Neptune 2000 2 burner gimbled gas hob and grill. Sink with new TruDesign composite seacock. Fresh water electrically pumped and filtered from 30L TekTank.

Engine/driveline: Beta Marine BZ482 with TechnoDrive TMC40N gearbox (new 2005), <500 hours operation and serviced annually. 2026 - new propshaft, cutlass bearing and refurbished propellor, stern gland serviced. Heat exchanger repair/service 2025. 42L fuel tank cleaned 2024 and new fuel gauge fitted.

Hull: original gelcoat topsides in excellent condition for age. Below waterline stripped and new epoxy coated in 2024. Fresh antifoul just done ready for this season.

Sails/rigging: Kemp Supercruise mainsail (2012), roller furling ADM Sails genoa (2017), spinnaker (all in good condition), unused storm jib as new, plus older set of spare sails. All control lines including 1st and 2nd reefs run to cockpit via clutches. 2 x genoa winches and 2 x halyard winches serviced 2025.

Instruments/electrical: 2 new 45Ah batteries (2026) with isolator, battery monitor and solar controller for 20W portable panel. NASA Marine Clipper Wireless Wind System (2021), NASA Duet depth/log and GPS cockpit display linked to Garmin GPS152. Standard Horizon CP300 chart plotter, Easy AIS receiver, Navman DSC / VHF Radio, FM/MW/LW CD stereo radio with twin speakers in main cabin. Plastimo Mini Contest compass, SIMRAD TP10 tiller pilot, navigation lights (most LED).

Ground tackle: 7kg Manson Supreme anchor. New 10m of 8mm G40 chain and 50m of 14mm Octoplait warp in 2025. CQR kedge anchor and warp.

Kemp Stackpack and spray hood professionally cleaned and refurbished 2026.

Safety/other: 2 x fire extinguishers in cabin (2024) plus auto extinguisher for engine, fire blanket. Dan Buoy and life ring. 2 x manual bilge pumps plus automatic electric. Wire jackstays along each side deck. Fenders and mooring lines.

Insurance survey carried out May 2024 is available. All recommendations addressed.
