Description
This project is partially complete and now requires the internal fit out to be completed.
A steel motor vessel, built in 1992 and outfitted by Peter Marshall in 1994. The boat is currently lying on the East Coast of Scotland and now is offered for sale. The hull is steel construction with a full-displacement underwater profile, ideal for comfortable cruising.
The layout provides comfortable accommodation for up to five berths, arranged with aft cabins, heads (toilets), a central helm/saloon area, and a forward mess/cabin incorporating a galley and further toilet facilities which requires fitting out.
The interior boasts a comprehensive list of features including a cooker/stove (2-burner electric), oven, sink, curtains, cabin heating, pressurised water system, hot water system, microwave, and is presented as a non-smoker's vessel.
Powered by twin 120hp Ford diesel engines, which have recently undergone a complete overhaul, with a recent and significant investment in the vessel’s mechanical reliability. Two bilge pumps (one manual, one electric) ensure added safety.
Deck gear includes fenders, boathook, swim ladder, an electric windlass with remote control, and one anchor.
Well-equipped for navigation, boasting a compass, speed log, VHF DSC radio, GPS, chart plotter, clock, barometer, navigation lights, and a radar reflector.
Safety equipment comprises a carbon monoxide detector, a new 6-man life raft (installed August 2024), life buoys, searchlight, horn, and boarding ladder.
This Marshall 42 represents a well-maintained and comprehensively equipped steel motor vessel, ideal for comfortable coastal cruising. The recent engine overhaul and the new life raft significantly enhance its appeal. Given its robust construction and extensive equipment list, the asking price of £30,000 appears competitive.
A viewing is strongly recommended to fully appreciate this vessel's condition and potential.
There is a recent survey available.
