We have owned this boat since 2018. The two previous owners had looked after the boat well and it was in very good condition when we bought it. We have continued with careful maintenance and have replaced and updated key equipment. She sails well, is easy to manage and is very comfortable to live on during longer cruises.
This is a well cared for, easy to manage cruising yacht based on the renowned Maxi 1000 hull from the well-respected Swedish builder Nimbus Boats. Designed with in-mast reefing as standard, this 7 berth yacht has a light and airy interior with three cabins. It has a recently installed Beta 30 diesel engine with folding prop, giving fast cruising under power or sail.
The Maxi 34 has a fixed cockpit screen which wraps around to give excellent protection. This joins with the sprayhood and cockpit cover to give an additional living space when moored. Another feature is the small wing keel which reduces to draft to 1.43m without affecting performance.

CONSTRUCTION
A very good lay-up by Nimbus giving a strong, osmosis-free hull of conventional GRP construction. The hull is double skinned creating a warm, dry boat and reducing condensation. The design incorporates a moderately high freeboard, facilitating a well enclosed cockpit. The cockpit has teak seating and flooring. The deck has non-slip texture from the original moulding.
SAFETY EQUIPMENT
Three fire extinguishers, plus a new engine fire extinguisher (not fitted), fire blanket and smoke alarm. Horseshoe lifebuoy, Oscar MOB system, rigging cutters, bungs, grab bag.
ACCOMMODATION
Two berths in the fore cabin, 2-3 in the saloon (port side seating coverts into a small double), and a further 2 in the aft cabin which is accessed via internal companionway or through a separate entrance from the cockpit. The foam mattresses in the fore cabin were replaced in 2022. There is a good choice of storage areas including hanging cupboards and sliding cupboards. There is a folding table in the saloon with seating on either side with under-seat storage. LED lighting throughout provides good illumination with low battery drain.
The L shaped galley has a double sink with pressurised hot and cold taps and a top loading fridge. The new LPG Voyager 4500 cooker has two rings, an oven and a separate grill. Lockers above and below provide plenty of storage space.The heads are surprisingly spacious with hot and cold taps, shower fittings and WC. There is a good chart table with a fold away seat.
