As a shell builder, the name Robin Summers does not instantly spring to mind, but he obviously knew what he was doing.
Violet Clare No2 features many interesting details such as scrolled handrails and cants, attractive uplift to the cabin and counter along with replica rivets, all of which add up to a shapely good looking shell, in fact few cruiser stern narrowboats are this pleasing to the eye.

Past and present owners have added design features which make this boat ideal for full time residential use or extended cruising.

Laundry needs are taken care of by the onboard washing machine, quick meals can be produced utilising the microwave oven and when more time is available, the full size hob and eye-level oven will come into their own, with provisions stored in the combined fridge/freezer.

Whilst all of the above is true, Violet Clare No2 has scope for further improvements, all of which could be carried out by a competent person with basic DIY skills.
