General
Tumbleholme No6 is a 58ft traditional style narrowboat that presents a classic aesthetic with its blue, red, and cream livery. The vessel is currently moored at Frouds Bridge, as indicated by the stern signage. Power is provided by a Vetus M4.15 diesel engine situated in a tidy engine bay. The interior is lined throughout with warm-toned wood panelling, creating a cosy atmosphere typical of well-crafted narrowboats. For safety, a Dualwatch alarm system is installed to monitor gas and carbon monoxide levels.
Living Room
The saloon serves as a comfortable living space featuring an L-shaped dinette area upholstered in dark blue fabric, which is accompanied by a removable table for dining. A solid fuel stove with a visible flue acts as a central focal point and provides substantial heat during cooler months, supplemented by radiators. The room is designed for relaxation and entertainment, boasting a custom-built wooden cabinet unit that houses a flat-screen television and a stereo system, along with open shelving for books and media.
Galley
The walk-through galley is well-equipped for meal preparation, featuring a Cranfield Caprice 4000 gas cooker that includes a four-burner hob, a separate grill, and an oven. Cold storage is provided by an under-counter Fridgemaster refrigerator. The kitchen workspace consists of black granite-style laminate worktops with a stainless steel circular sink, while ample storage is available through base cupboards and overhead shelves.
Bedrooms
Accommodation is split between two separate cabins, offering flexibility for families or guests. The main bedroom features a transverse double berth with built-in storage, shelving, and a mirror. A second cabin is arranged with twin single bunks, ideal for crew or children. Both sleeping areas continue the wood-panelled theme and are fitted with radiators for comfort.
Bathroom
The boat benefits from a modern, dedicated bathroom suite. It includes a large, separate shower cubicle fitted with a glass door and stylish dark subway tiling. A white vanity unit supports a ceramic wash basin with mixer taps, situated next to a modern toilet. The room is finished with a heated towel rail and practical shelving for toiletries.
Equipment
Tumbleholme No6 is fitted with a high-specification electrical system, centred around a Victron Energy MultiPlus inverter/charger that manages onboard power. This is supported by a Victron VE.Bus Multi Control panel and a battery monitor to ensure efficient power management. A Webasto digital control panel is installed to operate the central heating system. The utility locker houses the 240V consumer unit and provides additional storage for mooring equipment and tools. An engine hour meter is also visible, helping to track maintenance schedules.
