A rare chance to own a unique piece of waterways history, open house viewings Saturday 28th February.
Constructed by P&J Rickerby in 2002, combining expert craftsmanship and a keen eye for historic vessels. Brocky is a stunning boat with late 19th century styling, and contemporary conveniences. The vessel she is based on was a steam tug originally working the Bridgewater Canal near Manchester, which was painstakingly researched and recreated with modern materials and systems.
In the eight years I've owned her, I have carried out extensive work to transform her into a comfortable, stylish home, set up for off-grid continuous cruising, equipped with all the gear you'll need. Brocky has large hardwood decks front and rear for outdoor living in the warm months, and a cosy interior for when the British weather is less pleasant. There are a huge number of well-crafted details throughout, such as brass fixtures for portholes, light fittings, handles and latches, extensive use of wood, the diesel range for heat and cooking, and vintage features such as the steering wheel and winch. The full specification is below:

Considerations-
-This is a vintage boat, and as such comes with a few quirks, and a handful of unfinished jobs
-This is a no-gas boat. Heating and cooking is provided by the diesel range
-Head height is 6'3" except for in the bedroom, where it drops to 5'2"
-There is a Vetus bow thruster that is currently in need of repair. It needs new brushes and someone competent to look at the cabling
-Some interior wood next to the stern door needs replacement due to historic water ingress
-The electrical cable from the alternator to the leisure batteries could be upgraded to reduce voltage drop
-The asking price reflects these considerations
