30 foot cruiser racer sailing boat for sale in Scotland. Price reduced for a summer super sail!
A superb contemporary design, well sorted sailing boat ideal for fabulous family weekends or scintillating club sailing events. Transatlantic or Round the Islands are also a real possibility. All in good order and ready to go.
This sparkling and lively 30 footer is now for sale for a sensible price.
It is with heart-breaking regret that I must sell her due to my age and capability. But as for the boat herself there is plenty of life and adventure yet to come for new and imaginative owners.
This 30 foot cruiser racer is ready to go with good sails, a sturdy engine, more than adequate gear and equipment.....all you have to do is climb aboard, make sure you wear appropriate safety equipment including lifejackets (3 good L/Js are provided!), and set sail for a safe and exhilarating adventure.
A great looking boat, built meticulously and robustly - completed in 2011. The fin keel is high grade steel, in pristine condition, connected to the hull through massive overbuilt frames and stringers which are all in as-new condition.
The engine is an ever-popular 1999 built Volvo Penta 2000 series of about 8kW which goes very well with minimal consumption.
There is FULL standing headroom for all but enormous giants.
There are bunks for 5 at a squeeze but best of all is probably a 3 person weekend cruise where you don't mind minimal privacy and good humour.
The boat boasts the very latest in Buckit-chuckit toilet facilities. You do your business in immense comfort in the artfully decorated, modern, partitioned bathroom area and then dispose of it as quick as you can overboard (preferably to leeward!) with a prize going to the most efficient and tactful crew member.
The galley is simple and easy to operate. Ideally the gordon-blue chef will be skilled in making coffee and tinned soup with bacon sandwiches on Sunday mornings. There is loads of stowage space under all the bunks and down aft so there will be minimal infringements on personal chocolate bar supplies.
I have had really fabulous sails in and around the Clyde. The boat has quite a high freeboard and is safe and quite dry in breezy conditions.
I wouldn't say this is a beginner’s boat but once you get the hang of her you will be totally and utterly in love!!!
The 2 tenders, a good bicycle and a wet-bum kayak, could go with her if you like.
We can discuss wet weather gear.
You will need to consider upgrading navigation and electrical installations but nothing drastic.
There are plenty of ropes, mooring lines, sheets and stoppers in good service and for replacements. Good fenders, life-lines and blocks.
In all a really great boat for great fun and at a great price!!!
