505 8881 Rondar/Ovi carbon hull built in 2007
All the current competitive equipment: DEM rudder and centreboard, new (11/ 2025) lifting carbon rudder and tiller, good sails including a brand-new kite and spares, modern P&B style rig setup with auto ram, twin carbon poles and adjustable shrouds etc. Recent trolley and trailer, top and bottom covers, mast bag, new (in packet) over cover.
Specification
2023 main sail by HD, plus a good condition P&B main
2022 HD jib which has been used a fair bit, plus a 2024 jib by HD which has only been used one week, and an older P&B jib
A brand new and never used 2025 HD kite, a 2023 HD kite plus an older P&B kite
The mast is a Super Spars M2
All carbon boom and poles in good condition
The shrouds are on adjustable tracks
The ram up and down is setup to automatically adjust as you change the rake
The rudder and daggerboard are both by DEM and are approx. 2 years old, these are the same foils that the new Ovington 505's have that and that the American's use. There is also a full carbon lifting rudder and tiller / extension that was new from P&B in Nov 25.
The boat has a very good trolley and road trailer combo unit
The boat has a new top cover plus an older undercover and mast bag, both have a bit of damage but do the job
Overall, the boat has excellent equipment and is fast. The hull has some marks from use and where fittings have been moved over the years. Probably in an ideal world it would be sprayed with Durepox to make it look like new.
Bought in Oct 2025 but quickly realised it’s not the boat for me. The previous owner won handicap events and open meeting races last year and it is ready to race competitively at the Hayling world’s next summer.
