1999/2000 57ft Traditional Stern Narrowboat, high quality steel work built by “Paul Widdowson” 10mm/6mm/4mm and fit-out by highly respected boat fitters “Fernwood Craft” The bow holds the gas locker with a 5ft self draining well deck, complete with wooden cratch frame, with also a LED headlamp fitted to the cratch board. The inside cabin ceilings are lined with white oak and trimmed in solid ash. The cabin sides are lined in oak veneered plywood panels, with maple centres and trimmed in ash. The forward cabin/lounge area is 10ft 10” with a fixed corner TV cabinet and a Arrow Becton solid fuel stove. The galley is 6ft 6”with slot in cooker and fridge, the units are custom built in maple with green centre panels. The master bedroom 8ft with a fixed double bed with storage doors, a full height wardrobe and shelves. The bathroom has a 6ft 5” x 4ft Bath with mixer taps and a shower attachment, wash basin and Sealand Traveller pump out toilet with a stainless steel tank. The second bedroom is 9ft 2” and has two single beds with storage underneath and two wardrobes. The aft cabin is 4ft 5” and stern deck of 3ft 4” The boat is powered by a 38hp Beta Marine and a PRM 150 gearbox. Electronics include a Victron 1600 watt inverter, Tecsup 40amp battery charger + Solar and 240volt circuit with RCD. Aswell as the solid fuel stove, there is a Eberspacherd diesel heater for hot water via a twin coil 16 gallon calorifier, with 240v emersion and central heating. Sophie Jane No.2 had full repaint by the excellent boat painter John Barnard in September 2022 as well as a full survey report in October 2022. it has also a current BSS Certificate valid to 26/03/2027. 2022.
