2006 Quicksilver 580 Pilothouse Fishing Boat

Priced to sell

I purchased the boat in February 2024. Unfortunately, in April 2024 the boat became partially submerged during adverse weather after being moored too tightly to the berth, causing the rear of the boat to sit low during two tides.

Following this, the boat underwent a complete electrical refit through an insurance claim costing approximately £6,500. The work included:

Full Oceanflex tinned marine wiring throughout
New busbars, fuse panel & switch panel
New navigation & anchor lights
New marine battery & isolator
Automatic bilge pump
Bait pump
Marine radio & speakers
Remote searchlight
Raymarine Axiom 7 GPS/Fishfinder
Raymarine RealVision RV100 transducer
Raymarine RAY53 DSC VHF radio

A replacement Suzuki 70hp four-stroke outboard was also fitted at a cost of around £3,000.

I’ve used the boat throughout 2024 and 2025 with no issues. However, after a recent inspection in April 2026, water was found in the carbs/oil and the outboard will now require repair or replacement.

For me, it’s no longer worth the ongoing cost of keeping the boat as I haven’t been using her enough, especially with mooring fees now around £2,000 per year.

This is a genuine sale and an opportunity to buy a well-equipped Quicksilver that has had the benefit of a major electrical overhaul in 2024. I’m happy to provide invoices/evidence for the work carried out.
