Dipper is a 16 foot traditional open catboat, built in 2015, by John Harris at Tavy boat builders, to a stunning Selway Fisher design that is incredibly close to the original catboats found on the east coast of America. She is a beautifully and sturdily built wooden vessel, with extensive use of epoxy paint for easy maintenance with oak thwarts, transom and coaming. Typical to most traditional catboats, she has a substantial, free standing mast, positioned well into the bow. This carries a single gaff rigged sail. Auxiliary powered by a Torqueedo electric engine, that is neatly mounted in a well under the tiller. She can carry 4 adults comfortably within her 7 foot plus beam, but is also ideally suited to single handed sailing. She is an absolute joy to sail. With road trailer. Ready to sail! Total cost in 2015 £22,000. Age forces sale!
