Presenting For Sale: 'Little Wizard' Seamaster 813 River & Estuary Cruiser - A Perfect Blend of Comfort and Functionality
One of the last 813's to be built by the Seamaster Company in Great Dunmow before they ceased trading in 1981
There was a total of 400 813's built and each was able to be fitted out to the owners wishes. 'Little Wizard' has a larger than normal separate heads fitted as you enter the main cabin on the starboard side. Most of the 813's featured the heads further forward in between the main cabin & forward cabin. This unique layout makes the boat feel much roomier than most.

Description:
As mentioned in the advertising brochure at the time of build: The 813 is the perfect choice for the modern family who Iike a cruising holiday but don't want to rough it. Within an 8.13 metre length there's luxurious accommodation for four adults in a boat that's both easy and pleasant to handle. Inside and out particular attention has been taken to achieve the look of today. The moderately veed hull in finest fibre glass has sleek modern lines and attractive wide side decks. The foredeck provides generous space for sunbathing, while below decks the luxurious interior includes panelling in decorative ply.
Let us take a closer look at the reasons that make the 813 the next boat you'II want to own, so many features you'll like!
With some boats you have to crouch and creep about. But not with the 813. There's 6'0" headroom throughout. Both cabins are fully carpeted and the large windows are curtained. Accommodation in the forward cabin consists of two single V berths, while in the main cabin the dinette has a folding and lowering table so that another double berth can be made up at night.
The main cabin also contains the well-equipped galley, with hob, oven & grill which will delight the keen chefs. There is a stainless steel sink with hot and cold water. Working surfaces are Melamine covered and there is ample stowage and cupboard space for food and crockery.
For a small vessel there is a good sized private toilet & shower compartment on board, especially important for a family boat. It features a brand new toilet which empties direct into a large holding tank, its own basin (with hot and cold water supply), shower and mirror.
Outside in the large cockpit measuring 2.69 meters (8' 10") there is plenty of room for the passengers to move about in comfort. The hood is brand new in 2025 and the old hood which is still in great condition has been retained for winter use. The helmsman has his own individual cushioned seat at the controls which makes the boat easy and pleasant to handle even in crowded waters. A mate's seat is fined on the starboard side. Both seats are new in 2025 in blue leatherette with white piping round the edges.
'Little Wizard' is perfect for those looking for a comfortable and practical boat, whether for extended cruising, weekend getaways or even as a cosy liveaboard. With all her window rubbers replaced she is probably the driest 813 on the Thames, keeping the rain out on the wettest of days. Don't miss this opportunity to own this much loved 'turn key' classic cruiser that's ready for new adventures.
