Meadowsweet is an electric cabin launch based on a Selway Fisher "Edwardian" design and is of GRP sheathed cedar strip construction.The cabin which ,has a headroom of 6ft, accommodates twin berths and a galley fitted with a double spirit burner and a chemical toilet. The open cockpit, situated forward of the cabin, is fitted with a removable table and seating for up to 5 passengers. Meadowsweet is propelled by a 4Kw Torqueedo pod motor powered by 8 no 12V Llithium batteries with a total capacity of 672 Ah.This provides up to 10 hours of cruising at 4 knots, which is augmented by solar power from a pair of PV cells on the cabin roof, which deliver up to 300 watts.
Meadowsweet is moored on the River Thames near Benson Oxfordshire.
