Reference: | 2114 Cathy II |
Cathy II is a charming 57’ traditional stern narrowboat built in 2005 by Tim Tyler, and fitted out by Anthony M. She was last out the water for a survey in November 2021, blacked in December 2021, and the engine was serviced in August 2024.
She is fitted out in ash faced ply with ash trim throughout, with vinyl floor tiles in the galley and bathroom, and engineered oak elsewhere.
The cratch cover was new in 2024, and protects the 4’0” well deck. There are large lockers either side, with new padded cushions, and a small shelf for mugs of tea.
Steps lead down, through glazed stable doors, into the 13’6” saloon. Here is a large L-shaped sofa bed, single armchair, Old Dutch diesel stove, 12v JVC TV, and a couple of cupboards for storage.
Before entering the galley, there’s a two person breakfast bar with 2 adjustable stools. Access to the Celeus washing machine is under, and a starboard side hatch brings in additional light and fresh air.
The 8’6” galley features laminate worktops, a stainless steel sink, 240v fridge with separate freezer compartment, Essentials 4 burner gas hob, oven & grill (NEW 2024), and plenty of cupboards and drawers.
Next is the 5’0” bathroom, with a corner shower and tiled surround, Thetford cassette loo, stainless steel basin, and a couple more cupboards.
Following, the 10’2” bedroom features a fixed 6’5” x 4’0” double berth (BRAND NEW mattress), storage under, full height double wardrobe, and some drawers.
Steps lead into the 4’0” engine room, with the Vetus M4.17 42hp engine housed below. Another step leads out onto the stern deck.
She is centrally heated by a diesel fired hot air blower in the bedroom, with the previous plumbing and radiators still installed. Hot water is via the engine or immersion.
12v power is supplied by 4x 110ah domestics, with a separate starter, and 240v power is via a 1600w Victron inverter/charger or landline. 400w of solar with a solar charge controller keep everything topped up.
Lighting onboard is LED throughout.
She is tried and tested as a liveaboard by her current owner, and will make her next owners a lovely floating home or holiday cottage.
