Dorset is a stunning boat. She is a reverse layout 70’ trad built in 2017 by the highly regarded Tyler Wilson, and superbly fitted out by Finesse Boats. She is very highly specced and is in immaculate condition both inside and out.
She was Epoxy 2 packed in June 2021, and the engine has only done 15 hours since the last service.
From the stern you enter the rear cabin. The super quiet cacooned Beta 50 is under the boards (navigation assisted by the hydraulic bowthruster), and behind the doors and panels sit the 3.5kw inverter/charger, the 7kw generator and a Galvanic Isolation transformer.
A step leads into the galley. The boat oozes luxury. The floor is Karndean light oak, the galley worktops & sink are Corian, and most of the appliances are Miele; the fridge, the gas hob and the electric fan oven. There is also a freezer squirrelled away behind a unit as well as a full size washer dryer and a wine rack. There is plenty of storage and two side hatches and a pigeon box (with LED strip lights) add light and air.
The Pullman style dinette area follows. There is another pigeon box in the roof (with strip lights) and another side hatch (all of the side hatches by the way have glazed inner doors). The dinette has an electrically raised or lowered table to either make up the double berth or adjust the height for comfort, and the angle of the back rests is adjustable. Plenty of storage under.
The saloon area houses a 24” TV and two super comfy captains chairs.
The guest bedroom follows with a fixed double (which extends to 5’ wide), cupboards over and storage under. Another side hatch offers a view from bed!
The bathroom is a walk through arrangement with a pumpout loo, lovely corian sink, a large quadrant shower and two heated towel rails. There are floor level mood lights in here.
The main bedroom is in the forward cabin and has another extending fixed double bed (storage under), another side hatch and plenty of storage including a wardrobe. Steps lead up into the cratch covered well deck with seats either side and a glazed board. The huge (850 litres) water tank is under.
She is centrally heated by a recently serviced Bubble PJ Max boiler and the hot water is heated by the Bubble, the engine or an immersion heater. Both can be operated remotely. 230v is from the inverter, the generator, or landline (back & front) and the 24v systems are from a bank of 6 domestic batteries. All the lights are LED.
An amazing boat, ready for immediate occupation.
