18ft Westerly Nimrod trailer sailer / pocket cruiser in GRP with lifting cast iron pendulum keel.
Ever popular and fun boat which can be sailed like a dinghy but also gives the option to sleep overnight or even longer trips with its simple two berth cabin and ample self-draining cockpit. Cushions for the cabin are provided - currently stored ashore.
With the keel up, only draws 1'3"; draws 3'6" with the keel down which provides plenty of ballast when needed.
Recently fitted self-braking winch on the keel. Keel is pendulum hung and so will rise & fall by itself if you accidentally misjudge the depth.
The cabin provides great space to put in all you need for a day out - warm clothes, picnic or BBQ, etc. Also means on the way home if the kids are feeling a little tired or cold they can shelter out of the wind.
Comes with sails including furling foresail , mainsail and spare foresails.
Deck repainted with non-slip paint last year.
Sits on a strong trailer for easy towing, launch and recovery. Weighs around 475kg so a standard car can tow.
Sale also includes a custom made bridle for fore and aft mooring. Additional chain available by negotiation. She has been kept the past few years on a drying mooring in Penzance Harbour, and is currently ashore in Wharfside hard standing adjacent to Penzance Harbour.
Outboard engine (Tohatsu 3.5 HP) available by separate negotiation.
