Vertue Yacht No 40 1951   £15,500
The Vertue is one the most iconic British yacht designs of all time, examples of which have voyaged the world and proved themselves as incredible sea boats with capabilities far beyond their size.  This particular boat, Laurent Giles Vertue V40, is a very nice example, that has benefited from a regime of continuous maintenance and light use. She was originally for sale at £36,000 then reduced. I need to move her this spring so open to any reasonable offer. Mairi Bahan was designed as 26-foot gaff rigged day racer by (Uncle Rouse) H. S Rouse, Vice-Commodore of the Hong Kong Yacht Club and a yacht designer. Converted to Bermudan on the 60s. Around six of his yachts are thought to have survived into the second Millennium. The most famous of these is the Tai-Mo-Shan which has an illustrious sailing history but best known now for her starring role in the first Mama Mia film. History that came with our boat is Mairi Bahan was f... read more

Beautiful wooden sailing yacht ****engine needs replacing **** Bermudan Cutter Rig We did a big renovation project on her 2015-2016 including: removing white gloss, having transom and some side planking replaced and new copper coating on fibre glass sheathing on keel. We sailed her a bit in Bristol Channel then from Bristol to padstow in 2017 at which point the engine gave out. She's been on hard standing since then. Her mast (new in 1989) is stored just next to her (was removed for transportation by road due to engine failure). She comes with rigging. We've now got young childr... read more

Designed in 1927 for the Royal Gothenburg Yacht Club by Johan Anker, the Dragon class soon established itself as an international class, with fleets across Europe and Scandinavia. The initial concept was for a Bermudan-rigged keelboat that provided rudimentary accommodation, and in this way could be used to sail and sleep on, from one regatta to another, as well as cruising for pleasure. After WWII, in 1948, the class was selected for the Olympics, and from that point onwards Dragons were built solely for racing. However, 'Laju' was built in 1933 in Sweden and has retained the featur... read more
