The Princess 30 DS was created back in 1980 through a collaboration between John Bennett and Bernard Olesinski. It s testament to them that the classic lines still look good today. They created a great platform for family coastal, inland or river cruising, and these vessels are still very popular. This example has been used as a live aboard ashore for the last twelve months and has been kept clean and tidy by it s current owner. The accommodation on this boat is cleverly set out in four areas. The lower deck has a forward cabin with two single berths that can easily be converted into a d... read more

If you are looking for a 26 footer that you can race, that will fulfil its role as a pocket family cruiser and come at a very reasonable price then take a look at the Trapper 300. With it s wide beam, flared topsides and deep keel, it s been said that they are fast to windward and not slow off the wind either. This example benefits from the longer racing keel, 2010 standing rigging and a freshly scrubbed hull. Lines lead aft to cockpit and the deck is painted in blue non slip. A PBO review once stated that these boats are light on the helm and delightfully responsive; one of the few boats ... read more

It s easy to see why Hunter Horizon 27 twin keelers (twin fin) are so popular. The design by David Thomas, fulfils many of the needs of weekend yacht owners enabling them to get the maximum use out of their investment. This comfortable boat is easy to sail alone and there's plenty of space for your family. They sail well giving a good turn of speed, can take the ground and sail in shallow waters. The accommodation is generous for a vessel of this size, offering 5 possibly 6 berths, with a small Breton bunk up forward, two singles in a good sized saloon and a generous aft cabin with double b... read more

This substantial ketch rigged motor sailer, a Macwester Seaforth 36, has carried out lots of family sailing during its last 10 years of ownership. With the children having now flown the nest, the owner has decided to downsize. Sturdy & seaworthy, this yacht offers good protection from the elements as well as comfort. The wheelhouse and accommodation both have excellent head room, are well equipped and appear to be in good condition throughout. Clean, tidy & spacious down below, there is the added advantage of hot / cold water, cabin heating, 6 2 headroom and a built in TV. Reefing for the ma... read more

This strong, seaworthy, twin engines fishing boat could soon be ready to go. As far as a project goes she is coming on nicely. Most of the expensive work, such as improvements to the wiring, the engines and the drive legs, has already been carried out by professionals under the current owner but due to a change in personal circumstances, the owner has now decided to sell her on as she is. Although she might appear a bit rough and not quite ready at the moment, this could soon change in the hands of an enthusiastic new owner. For a twin engined craft of her size, build and price, this is a... read more

At just under 26ft, this Newbridge Pioneer Pilot is like a floating tardis. The enclosed wheel house gives the benefit of a second (dry) helm position for those West Country changeable weather days and there's a surprising amount of space down below with the benefit of good head room. This one has the bigger 18.5HP engine enabling better passage making under power. The Perspex windows have been replaced recently (she's dry) and she also benefits from H&C pressurised water, cabin heating, fridge and full cooker. She does need a little tlc as, over the last 12 months or so, she hasn t been get... read more

These French built cruiser/racers are known for their excellent performance and have the advantage of a good accommodation layout for up to six. The deep fin keel and laminate sails help her to sit upright and sail swiftly, making her a great passage maker. The spacious and open style accommodation has a good sized double Breton bunk up forward, an aft cabin with a double berth and two singles in the saloon. She comes fitted for shore power and there is cabin heating along with a forward facing nav station and a decent nav fit. Yachting France were a major boatbuilder during the 1970's / ea... read more

The UFO 34 has an impressive history of all weather offshore cruising & racing. These sturdy, stiff & seaworthy yachts have proved themselves again and again (check out Wikipedia for their performance in the extreme conditions of both the 1979 Fastnet and the 1998 Sydney to Hobart races). They not only behave well, they look good too with sleek and elegant lines. Under the same ownership for the last 12 years, this example has been much improved during this time and is still sailed regularly. Maintenance has also been a top priority as she is taken out of the water annually for the winter ... read more

Well, this lovely Westerly Griffon has had some serious upgrades and improvements carried out under the present ownership ( 15k+ over the last 6 years). Already blessed with a modern Beta engine, new batteries have been fitted along with new cables and a new engine control panel. The hull has been grit blasted, epoxied and copper coated and on deck the standard rigging and furlex has been replaced, as have the flat pack/lazy jacks and reefing lines which are led back to the cockpit. The navigation fit has been much upgraded and the battery charging system too. Down below the headlining and u... read more
