The Southerly 28, was the design that started the now renowned range of lifting keel cruisers from Southerly.
A total of 148 Southerly 28's were built and gained the reputation, 'the boat that floats on a damp lawn', due to the shallow draft once the keel is retracted. This made the boats a popular choice for drying harbours, and use on inland waterways.
